Hello everyone,
We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves to those of you who may not know the faces behind Lemonwood.
Before Lemonwood ever existed, before the Mini Minder, before the designs and the tools, there was just a mom who wanted to be close to her kids.
After my first son was born, I began my career as a Waldorf kindergarten teacher. It wasn’t just a job, it was a choice rooted in something deeply important to me: being present. I wanted to build a life where I could stay close to my children, where family wasn’t something that fit around work, but something work was built around.
Now, more than 30 years later, that hasn’t changed.
What has changed is that those same children are now an essential part of this business.
Colm, my son, is our in-house designer. If you’ve ever fallen in love with one of our Mini Minder designs, admired the artwork on our products, or noticed the thoughtful details across our collections, there’s a very good chance you’ve seen his work. He has been creating some of the most impressive works of art I've seen since he could hold a pencil. Now, he brings creativity, intention, and a deep understanding of the fiber arts and those that enjoy them into everything he designs.
Elysia, my daughter, is the voice you hear across our brand. She leads our marketing and is behind the social media posts, emails, and ads that connect us with all of you. As a child we always found her making tape recordings, taking candid photos of the family and pets, or writing stories in her notebooks. Now, every story we tell, every launch we share, every moment of excitement, we owe so much of that to her.
Together, we’ve built something that is more than a business. It’s a collaboration, a shared vision, and a continuation of the values we’ve always held as a family.
At our core, we are problem-solvers and creators. We are constantly exploring new ways to support the fiber arts community, whether that means designing tools that make your craft easier, or creating artwork that brings a little more beauty into your everyday projects. Sustainability and intentional design are always at the heart of what we do, because we believe the things you use should be made thoughtfully and responsibly.
We also believe in making things that last.
Not just in durability, but in meaning.
We want our products to feel like something you keep. Something you reach for again and again. Something that, one day, could be passed down, like fine china, or Nana's favorite rocking chair that holds years of memories. In a world that moves quickly and often values convenience over craftsmanship, we are committed to creating pieces that feel timeless.
Lemonwood is, in many ways, a reflection of our family: our values, our passions, and our love for this community.
Sharing that with you is something we don’t take lightly.
We are so grateful for your support, your kindness, and the way you’ve welcomed us into your lives and your creative spaces. It truly means more than we can ever fully express.
From our family to yours, thank you for being here.
With love and gratitude,
The Lemonwood Team
